Taste Italian and French Wines This Weekend

This week we’ll taste wines from Italy and France, which are among the oldest wine-producing countries in the world and rank #1 and #2 in terms of output. Wines from these countries tend to be somewhat less fruit-forward than New World wines, and they often have a delicious hint of minerality that comes from the soil and reveals itself more in wines from cooler climes. Our lineup will include:

Riff Pinot Grigio 2010 – $9.99

Jean Geiler Alsatian Pinot Blanc 2009 – $12.99

Louis Jadot Beaujolais-Villages 2009 – $12.99 (was $13.99)

Araldica Barbera d’Asti 2007 – $12.99

Di Lorenzo Montepulciano d’Abruzzo 2010 – $7.99

Clos La Coutale Cahors 2009 – $16.99

The cost of the tasting is only $5 per person with a selection of complimentary cheese & crackers. This week we will also offer a premium pour ($4 for 2 oz.):

Le Cupole Trinoro Rosso Toscana 2007 – $36.99

We hope to see you here!
